Alternate Material Integration

VS1 can readily easily accommodate alternate different façade materials within a façade due to the simplicity of the point-supported fitting design. To date, VS1 has integrated:

  • Terra cotta-painted glass panels on the Cummins Technology Center in Pune, India

  • Perforated metal panels on the Nippert Stadium skybox expansion project

  • Shatter-proof polycarbonate (plexiglass) panels in a patient facility at the new Central State Hospital building in Virginia

The curved geometry of the building called for a cladding system that responded to the transitional nature of the resulting surface geometry. VS1 solved the conditions.
