9' direct glazed VS1-A windscreen with integrated operable vents

This new healthcare campus in San Francisco will feature an outdoor terrace enclosed by a VS1-A windscreen. The aluminum mullions span 7’ high, with the glass cantilevering past the top of the mullions to reach 9’. Operable vents will be integrated into the glass barrier.

Extensive landscaping on the street level and upper levels is an important element of the hospital building design, including a publicly accessible outdoor terrace and proximity to surrounding nature of the Mount Sutro Open Space Reserve.
