19' 8" lobby facade
VS1-T100, 12" softwood glulam mullion

The inaugural VS1-T project is the renovation of an existing lobby common area in the Two Democracy Center office park in Bethesda, Maryland.

The new 19’ 8” lobby facade is supported by 12” by 3.5” VS1-T yellow pine glulam mullions, sourced from Alabama. The mullions were shaped in IG’s shop to achieve a radiused inner edge to visually soften the aesthetic of the assembled wall. The glass is full-height and an all-glass vestibule, a standard VS1 detail, is incorporated into the facade. The wall is currently being installed.
