Dual Walls

Dual wall façade designs can help a building achieve both superior thermal performance and acoustic isolation. Innovation Glass has used VS1 several times in this application, with varying airspace considerations. VS1 can support the outer and inner walls with separate framing systems, or both can be supported by a single framing system with either double-sided mullions or outriggers from one façade.

The standard kit of VS1 parts can support the integration of motorized awning-style vents and external or internal shading, which can be used as part of a larger intelligent building skin program. Such programs can be used to drastically reduce a building’s operational carbon emissions and energy expenditures in the long term.
