Electrochromic glass, commonly known as “smart glass,” is an intriguing technology in the industry where small electrical inputs can change the tint of a glass panel. While there is a cost premium for this type of glass, incorporating electrochromic panels into a building envelope has been proven to lower operational carbon and HVAC costs. VS1 is an ideal carrying system for these panels, as the associated wiring can be hidden within the mullions and there is ease of access for post-installed electrical management.
