VS1 was selected for its unique scope at FWA, incorporating a feature wall with a 10-degree outward slant over a 29' span. The flexibility of the VS1 system requires minimal deviation from standard details to accommodate unique aspects such as this.
Similar to the O'Hare scope, this project also incorporated electrochromic glass panels for sunlight management. To prevent over-deflection, our project manager collaborated with the glass supplier to develop a horizontal VS1 frame for reinforcement. The project is estimated to be completed in 2025.
