Wraparound glass lobby
30' VS1-G200 facade (no visible metal)

A valued longtime partnership with Harmon led to the selection of VS1-G200 for the four-elevation lobby scope on this new office tower in Texas. Designed by Dallas-based firm GFF, the design intent was to create a slender tower with maximized public space at the street level. The remarkable transparency of VS1-G200—which swaps a structural glass fin for the original aluminum mullion and uses no visible metal fittings—contributes to that goal by visually tapering the building’s silhouette down to its core at the lobby level.

The VS1-G fins—hung from the level three structure above—are 18” deep, fully tempered and triple laminated.

FROM THE ARCHITECT GFF

23Springs is in the heart of Uptown, a rapidly changing urban district. Granite Properties challenged GFF to create a unique new office environment made memorable by its architecture, public spaces and pedestrian connections to the surrounding district. The response: design a tall, elegant tower to reduce the building footprint then devote the rest of the site to publicly-accessible open space, activating uses and a walkable streetscape.
